I can decide with no extra support
Decision-making supports in this level are helpful if you have the ability to make your own decisions with little to no help. To use the resources listed below, you must have the capacity to make your own decisions. You may get some support to make decisions, but you are the one that has the final say.
These supports help you plan and prepare for the future. You may choose to use one or a combination of these supports.
For example: You may talk with your spouse as you consider opening an Able TN account to save money for your future. This can be a way to use Supported Decision-Making.
Keep in mind this important information: On this site, supported decision-making refers to the idea that a person has the right to make decisions to the full extent of their capacity, even as they get needed support. Capacity means you can understand the benefits, risks and decisions presented. You can also share which decision you choose. If you are not sure whether you have capacity, remember you retain the right to make decisions until a court has officially declared a lack of capacity.
